a showcase in Washington D.C. this summer. While the location has not yet been divulged, The Art of Banksy will feature over 100 original works from private collectors across the globe and offer a rare opportunity to view authenticated and certified Banksy artworks rarely seen by the general public.
The exhibit is not organized, authorized, or curated in collaboration with Banksy, but does include some of the enigmatic artist’s most recognizable canvasses, screenprints, sculptures from Banksy’s notable period between 1997 ad 2008 including “Flower Thrower,” “Rude Copper” and original variations of the infamous “Girl with Balloon,” famously shredded at auction in 2018 and recently sold for a record $21.8 million in London.
“This is a one-of-a-kind exhibition,” said Corey Ross, President & CEO, Starvox Exhibits, which is presenting the exhibit alongside GTP Exhibitions. “Following successful runs in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, and Denver, we can’t wait to give D.C. a chance to see The Art of Banksy up close.”
Banksy’s graffiti-influenced stencil technique works are seen on city walls, bridges, and streets throughout the world, in addition to London auction houses where his artwork sells for millions of pounds.
Scheduled to open Thursday, June 23, tickets are now on sale here with prices starting at $39.99 ($29.99 for children 16 or younger), with timed, flexible, and VIP ticket options available.
