It’s called the “Red Room of Pain,” and you know it intrigues you.
No, we’re not talking about an IRL incarnation of E.L. James’ 2011 novel Fifty Shades of Grey. But as the much anticipated movie opens on Valentines weekend this year, iPic Theaters in Bethesda is offering this bondage-inspired cocktail for the month of February.
The “Red Room of Pain” is a spicy cocktail was developed by nationally recognized Advanced Sommelier Adam Segar made with red rum, red jalapenos, blood orange, homemade ginger beer and red rose petals. You can find it for $13 during February only at iPic Theaters Bethesda and at the bar at the adjacent City Perch restaurant.
FYI – just to keep things interesting, the first 100 people to purchase the Red Room of Pain cocktail on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, will receive a FREE pair of red fuzzy handcuffs to spice up their night!
