Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Kermit Screens ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ at White House

The day after Disney’s Muppets premiered their new movie — Muppets Most Wanted — in LA, they were in DC for another special screening…with the First Lady!

First Lady Michelle Obama and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey were joined by Kermit the Frog to deliver remarks during a VIP showing at the White House for a group of military children and their families arranged by the Joining Forces Initiative.

Mrs. Obama called the youth “heroes” for their strength and bravery in living the military life: balancing schoolwork, family life and growing up with address changes and other upsets.
