Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Kastles’ “Wimbledon on the Water”

The Washington Kastles officially opened their new stadium at The Wharf Wednesday evening with a “Wimbledon on the Water” themed bash attended by local socials and sports enthusiasts.

Kastles owner Mark Ein took center court surrounded by fans such as Events DC’s Gregory O’Dell, VM Public Relations’ Victoria Michael, XO Holdings’ Richard Scully, The Washington Humane Society’s Tara de Nicolas, and Paradise Springs Winery’s Kirk Wiles, dressed in summer chic/tennis whites.
The new, permanent, digs – located on the SW Waterfront near DC’s famed fish market – boast 147 premium season boxes as well as general admission grand stands.
