Kastles Kick-Off 2011

With just over a month left until its July 5th season opener, the Washington Kastles kicked-off the 2011 season with very exciting news – this year, television viewers will be able to watch six live matches! Owner Mark Ein announced a broadcast deal with Comcast Sports Network saying the partnership gives Kastles fans — “the best fans in World TeamTennis — another way to see the season unfold as it happens.”

To celebrate the announcement, the team tennis team hosted a Happy Hour and Block Party at Urban Country’s outdoor lounge and Redwood Bar and Restaurant on Bethesda Row. In addition to sips and savories, guests were able to pick up rackets and take a few swings on the Kastles Quickstart tennis court. 

Among those on hand to start the 2011 season with a bang were Comcast Sports Network faces Russ Thaler and Ivan Carter as well as Kastles cheerleaders and always-energetic mascots Topspin and Slice
