Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. On Friday night at L2 Lounge, Washingtonians proved that hanging loose can be hella fun for a good cause. Riding the wave – and raising money for military charity Luke’s Wings – attendees sported their bikinis and board shorts to this now annual fundraiser which assists in bringing military families to their wounded loved ones in area hospitals.
