Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Inside the Fab Empire Launch of the CBC “Insider’s Guide”

The Fab Empire launched their “Insider’s Guide to Congressional Black Caucus Week” last Sunday with a cocktail party at the SkyBar at the Beacon Hotel.

The digital guide, now in its fifth edition, lists the best parties, events and receptions during last week’s Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference.

The rooftop brunch was hosted by Chasseny Lewis, District Director for the U.S. House of Representatives; RaShawn Mitchell, Legislative Affairs Specialist at NASA; Alonzo Washington, Maryland State Delegate; and Stephanie Young, House Leadership Staff.

Guests enjoyed complimentary signature cocktails courtesy of Svedka Vodka and a complimentary catered brunch thanks to the Beacon Bar & Grill.
