Because you know they all asked Santa for an XBOX One for Christmas.
The Entertainment Software Association hosted its annual holiday party with Ubisoft in the newly renovated event space at the LongView Gallery in Shaw last week, and despite Springlike temperatures, it was as if St. Nick’s sleigh appeared early for tech trendsetters in attendance.
Hundreds of K Streeters, Capitol Hill aides, tech executives and even a few hip reporters mingled amidst original artwork and demo’ed the latest gaming consoles while others took the stage to Just Dance 4 and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”
Among those on hand to kickstart the holiday were ESA’s Mike Gallagher, Eric Huey, Rich Taylor and Dan Hewitt; Microsoft’s Frank Cavaliere, David Pryor and Stephanie Peters; Ubisoft’s Micheal Beadle; former Congressman Bart Stupak; CBC’s Hassan Christian; British Embassy’s James Harris; Software Alliance’s Chris Hopfensperger; Disney’s Jessica Moore; VISA’s Carl Holshouser; EMILY’s List’s Marissa Strickfaden; NPR’s Trey Graham; ThanksUSA’s Michele Stork; and Third Way’s Leah Chandler.
