Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Inside the 5th Annual First Tee Putting & Politics Reception

The 5th annual First Tee Putting and Politics Rooftop Reception celebrated youth development programs through golf with special recognition of champions Senator Judd Gregg and Congressman Joe Bacca Wednesday evening on the rooftop of 1101 Pennsylvania Ave.  


The World Golf Foundation created The First Tee in November of 1997 as a way to bring golf to youngsters that otherwise would not be exposed to the game and its positive values.  Now at 200 Chapters nationwide, First Tee uses golf and character education to teach life lessons.
