There was a lot of #makeitpersonal in public Monday night at Eno Wine Bar as international design team Alvaro Roche and Elsa Arcila invited select DC stylesetters to the intimate bar for a wine & cheese trunk show — a Sip & Swag if you will — featuring items from their new brand, aroche.
The online-only shop, which tempts with preppy staples like tote bags and ballet flats, is unique for more than mere monogramming. “Our products resonate with women who are looking for something special – something so personal it would warrant their own initials,” says Roche, formerly of the Gianfranco Ferré fashion house in Italy. But while personalization is a pillar of the collection and a driving force behind the brand, it’s likely the European details that make each piece a definite want.
Officially launching the aroche #makeitpersonal campaign, during which clients will be able to customize and monogram their items free of charge, attendees at Monday’s exclusive evening event each had an item of their choice personalized and ready for them to pick up post party.
A personalized roll-up bag was the #1 top takeaway!
