Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Ian Woodall: Climbing the Mountain

Wednesday, September 22, from 7:30 – 8:30 PM, DC’s Sierra Club presents Ian Woodall, world famous mountain climber, to speak on his life changing climbs to the top of Mount Everest.  

Between 1996 and 2007, Ian conceived, planned and led five expeditions to Mount Everest, reaching the summit on two occasions but also experiencing the death of fellow climbers along the way. Hear firsthand what these experiences mean to him as he presents the Tao of Everest at Harriet’s Restaurant, 436 11th Street NW (near Metro Center and Archives).
