HU’s WEAR Opening

Walking by Hu’s Shoes is like that scene in Breakfast at Tiffany’s where Audrey Hepburn just stands outside and gazes in – seeing so many wonderful things to covet, and knowing that nothing bad could ever possibly happen to you in a place where everything is just so beautiful.

Don’t just stand on the sidewalk and gawk. Trust me – it’s even more delightful inside.

And now, HU’s has opened another holy grail shopping experience almost across the street (2906 M St. NW) for the betterment of your body and not just your soles. Tonight’s opening party of HU’s Wear was like most others – much browsing and bantering without much buying, but I imagine many of tonight’s party-goers will be sneaking back in to grab that dress or skirt that caught their eye. The $50 off coupon in their parting fortune cookie makes good incentive for that!

Honestly, Spring’s bright color palette is missing from HU’s racks, but style is not. HU’s caters to Washington’s basic but not boring black wardrobe and offers artistic accessories to make up for the lack of pigment pop.

This is truly a beautiful place where nothing bad would ever happen – except to your budget! Most simple dresses were $500+ Lines carried include Vince, Mischen, Barbara Bui, Kaylee Tankus, Veronique Branquinho, Guilty Brotherhood, and Erotokritos among others – such as Devi Kroell who was on hand to help welcome guests and open the store.
