Hudson’s Last Call and the Beginnings of a Bully Bar

An almost all day “last call” marks the closing of Hudson Restaurant and Lounge this Friday.  The eatery and popular party place is shuttering just shy of its fifth anniversary, apparently to free up ownership’s resources for a new concept… in a new space.

“Construction is about to begin on Teddy and the Bully Bar,” explained co-owner Alan Popovsky in a news release.  “The [new] restaurant will feature a thoughtful design from local artist Maggie O’Neill and an outstanding small plate concept from a not yet named Executive Chef.”

For gourmands (or other general public) wishing to say good-bye, there will be a finale party for Hudson on Friday, September 28 from 11 AM until 2 AM featuring some of the menu’s favorites, cocktails and entertainment by Adrian Loving and others.

* The new Teddy and the Bully Bar will be located at 1200 19th Street, NW.
