Hope & Horsing Around at DC Lotto’s ‘Day at the Derby’

After Gold Cup, but before the Preakness, the DC Lottery paired hope with a little horsing around Wednesday as they hosted a “Day at the Derby” event at the historic Union Station. The event featured DC Lottery’s “Race2Riches” (R2R) game, an interactive horse racing monitor game with the opportunity to Garry Tarawin up to $1 Million.
“Day at the Derby” — the only opportunity in town to play and win on a horse racing themed game for cash and prizes – attracted hundreds of attendees — including Letisha Flake and Theo Kimbrough who won $250 awards.  The themed event emulated a day at the racetrack, inviting players to dress in derby style hats and seersucker suits, as they bet on their favorite DC themed horses like Cherry Blossom, Monument and Capital.
The event consisted of onsite games, prizes, historical factoids and trivia games, and also presented opportunities for players to sit in a “race track style” setting in the middle am buddy gabof Union Station and play the exciting R2R game.
Players were also able to take advantage of DC Lottery’s current R2R game promotion, Race2Riches Triple Crown Tripler.  Lucky winners whose tickets had “TRIPLER” printed on the tickets had their winnings tripled, up to $1 Million… so everyone was jockeying for a win.
