Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Having an Apifeni

“I dreamed of this. Now it is a reality!” beamed Danielle Dobin, founder of Apifeni. The newly-minted fashion entrepreneur and real estate developer presented her collection of luxurious activewear at L2 Lounge in Georgetown during an after-hours bash on Wednesday.


In attendance were many of DC notables including former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, TV/radio personality Tommy McFly, photographer Zaid Hamid, and Real Housewives of DC stars Lynda Erkiletian and Mary Schmidt Amons. Guests celebrated the collection’s launch with some bubbly and swanky eats while they mixed and mingled. 

The collection, made in the USA and available online, features a special blend of fabric to attain maximum comfort for women who want to work out and still look great. Both flattering and functional, Apifeni is designed to inspire confidence in women.
