Just in time for March Madness, owners Tony Hudgins, David Karim and Rich Vasey introduced their latest upscale gastropub concept, The Gryphon, in Dupont Circle Tuesday night as they held a Friends & Family VIP Opening Party.
Executive Chef Joseph Evans (of brother restaurant Lost Society) served up tastes of the new restaurant’s menu highlights, to include gator bites, mini grilled cheese and tomato soup, crawfish mac-n-cheese, and short ribs with grits.
Guests like DC Senator Paul Strauss, NBC 4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer, Gilt City Senior Curator Marissa Schneider, and NBC News Channel Correspondent Danielle Leigh noshed on house-popped popcorn and were tempted with Evans’ signature raspberry-topped chocolate torte as they explored the new eatery, which, in addition to tasty bites and brews features a fully-integrated media system… with 31 televisions.
*The Gryphon is located at 1337 Connecticut Avenue, NW. Washington, DC.
