Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Grio Shoots for Change, Lands Among the Stars

Walter Grio, the force behind the lens of Shoot for Change, held his first DC photography exhibit with hosts Maziar, Shahab and Micky Farivar at Peacock Cafe Wednesday evening.  Displaying inventive and original photographs taken around the United States and Europe, Grio announced his plan to change the world through photography – donating all the money from every photo shoot to a non profit of his client’s choice.  


All proceeds from sales of photographs at Grio’s Peacock Cafe exhibit would benefit the Children’s Law Center.
