GRAMMYs on the Hill

Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Bob Corker, and eight-time GRAMMY® winner (and Recording Artists’ Coalition co-founder) Don Henley were honored Wednesday evening at the 10th Annual GRAMMYs on the Hill® Awards for their commitment to improving the environment for the nation’s music community.

“GRAMMYs on the Hill gives us the opportunity to spotlight political and musical leaders for their tireless work advocating for the rights of music makers,” said Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow.

“Through his leadership in the Senate and the White House, Vice President Biden has led the effort in promoting artists’ rights and protecting intellectual property; as the co-sponsor of the Performance Rights Act and PRO-IP Act, Senator Corker truly understands the importance of a legitimate music marketplace; and as one of the most respected and socially conscious artists, Don Henley is an inspiration to his community and the world.”

The ceremony, dubbed “Washington’s most interesting mix of music and politics,” took over the Hill’s Liaison hotel with special guest presenters and performers.
