Golden Triangle Free Summer Film Series

The Golden Triangle Business Improvement (BID) is raising the curtain on its Golden Cinema Film Series to be hosted this summer in Farragut Park. Outdoor movies will be shown at sunset every Friday beginning in early June and running through the first week of August, at the conclusion of the ongoing Farragut Friday events. Academy Award Best Picture Nominee Hidden Figures will kick off the series on Friday, June 2.

This is the fifth season of the free film series, which each year attracts thousands of movie fans to enjoy a favorite film under the stars.  Pursuant to National Park Service regulations, all movies are G, PG, or PG-13.

“The Golden Triangle Film Series brings together people who work in the neighborhood, as well as residents from the extended community. It’s a wonderful event for a date night or a family picnic and a great way to unwind and kick off a summer weekend,” said Leona Agouridis, Golden Triangle BID Executive Director. “We are thrilled to be able to offer such a wonderful schedule of entertainment and look forward to welcoming hundreds of movie fans to enjoy these special evenings with us.”

This year’s schedule of films is as follows:

June 16 – Moana (PG)June 23 – The Princess Bride (PG)

June 30 – Dirty Dancing (PG-13)

July 7 – Ghostbusters (2016) (PG-13)

July 14 – Finding Dory (PG)

July 21 – Big (PG)

July 28 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13)

August 4 – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (PG-13)
