Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

GLEEful Fundraising @ Hudson

Hudson Lounge transformed into the Glee Club Karaoke Room Thursday night as scenesters stepped up to the mic for some good old high school fun to benefit their four legged friends in Fashion for Paws.

Event Host and Fashion for Paws Fundraising Model Rachel DeMita (at right with Charles Chamberlayne) started off the singing in Spice Girls’ style… with lots of favorite tunes continuing throughout the night.

Guests put away their usual cocktail minis and suits for a dress code of  high school chic – complete with ripped jeans, sexy plaid and geek glasses – and enjoyed “Glee” themed cocktails including the Root Beer Float, Cherry Slush, and the Dream a Little Dreamsickle as well as food prepared by Hudson Chef Demetrio Zavala (below with Managing Partner Alan Popovsky flanking Stef Woods and Nicole Siobal).
