Georgetown GLOW will be held in Spring — and Summer! — for the first time this year. Like usual, all GLOW installations will be viewable by day, and even brighter by night.
The return of this free outdoor public art experience will be presented by the Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) as an extended two-part series this Spring (April 2 – June 27) and Summer (July 2 – September 26), highlighting a majority of DC artists.
Five artworks will be exhibited throughout Georgetown’s commercial district during Spring GLOW. Following, Summer GLOW will feature three artworks that will transform Georgetown’s public alleys.
Spring 2021 Artists and Projects include The Weight of A Rainbow, by Stephanie Mercedes, in Georgetown Park Plaza (3276 M St NW); Madness Method, Chris Combs and David Greenfieldboyce, at Lock 4, (Near 1056 Thomas Jefferson St NW); The Beginning of Everything, by Nara Park, at Washington Harbour (3000 K St NW); and The Wishes Within, by Curated Creative at Georgetown Lutheran Church (1556 Wisconsin Ave, NW).
