Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Georgetown’s GANT Puts a Spring in its Style

Tuesday night, DC met the GANT guys.
Highlighting the men’s brands Spring/Summer 2013 Collection during a celebratory, seasonal viewing party at its recently opened M Street store, DC United midfielder Chris Pontius, Bibiana Executive Chef Nick Stefanelli, Thrillist.com DC Editor Leo Schmid, 94.7 FRESH FM Radio Host Tommy McFly and SUSTG’s Lucien Zeigler (all pictured above) welcomed guests for a GANT CEO David Arbuthnot and Douglas Geller by Joy AsicoDC Brau Brewing Company open bar and a stylish tour of the store.
GANT USA CEO David Arbuthnot and Marketing Director Douglas Geller (both at left) were on hand to introduce the collection as well, sending home all attendees with gift bags containing sunglasses and a signature fragrance.
