Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Free Flapjacks!

Stack enough pancakes to reach 31.5 miles in the sky and you’ll see how much griddle goodness IHOP gave away last year during National Pancake Day. But if you’re like us, you’d rather munch on ’em than measure ’em – so here’s how to get your flapjacks for free!

In celebration of National Pancake Day on March 1, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer guests one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes (7 AM – 10 PM) But you’re also invited to do some good in exchange for the deliciousness. Donations made at participating IHOPs will raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
