Fred Thompson talks dancing pigs and Palin at local book signing

A modest crowd gathered at Borders Wednesday night to join in a spontaneous Q & A with Fred Thompson.

Signing his new book, “Teaching the Pig to Dance: A Memoir of Growing Up and Second Chances,”  he remarked on his circumstantial and unplanned success with candor – as well as answering some political punches.

Criticizing the handling of the financial crisis and other government actions, the author/ actor/ attorney/  former Tennessee senator – and one-time presidential candidate – didn’t straddle the fence when asked about his sympathies for Sarah Palin.  He wouldn’t vote for her for President, he stated clearly, “even though she has some great qualifications.”
