These popular pour places were previously only found in airports, but did you know that there’s a Vino Volo Wine Bar Cafe in Bethesda?! No airport attached… just flights of a rather different itinerary!
To introduce Vino Volo Cafe’s new summer menu — that now showcases small plates perfect for pairing with their hand-picked wine flights — Wednesday night, VIP guests were invited to try two pairings (of food and flights) that will be available for the rest of the summer.
First, attendees tucked into a refreshing watermelon and feta salad and decadent Atlantic salmon rolls with crab that were paired with the White Hot Summer Flight (2013 Blanco from Solar Teules Winery, 2012 Veltlinsky from Graf Hardegg Winery, 2009 Divinity from Jankris Winery.) Then, the savory wine country chicken pate and lamb meatballs were sampled with the Sonoma Selections Flight (2012 North Coast from La Follette Winery, 2012 Estate from Alexander Valley Vineyards, 2012 Angela’s Table from Seghesio Winery).
