Farmers Fishers Bakers Opens at the Washington Harbor

There’s lots of excitement this season at the Georgetown Waterfront! Skating has started at the new ice rink, and from the windows of its recently remodeled restaurants there are prime views of the action.  But that’s not all.

There’s frostiness, there’s fun, and now there’s a Farmers!

The North Dakota Farmers Union and The Farm announced the official opening this month of Farmers Fishers Bakersa sister spot to the popular farmhouse dining resto Farmers & Fishers in Foggy Bottom.

You love the range of rustic and modern flavors in FFB’s thin and thick crust pizzas, seafood entrees, big and crusty bread sandwiches and burgers, plancha-grilled meats and fresh-farm sides.  (Oh, the cornbread, deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes!)

And hi-ho, this derry-o has a larder filled with pickled produce, preserves, sauces, chutneys and other made-from-scratch stuff as well as a mixology menu with shareable tiki punchbowl cocktails — and “Farmacy” sodas for the Dell’s non “drinkers.”

Farmacy’s fine, but we certainly suggest you not miss the bar — the 8-seat, reservation-only Sushi Bar — a Farmers Fishers Bakers exclusive, which boasts seafood charcuterie style plates with sauces so special, we promise you won’t want soy or wasabi.
