Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Among the festive offerings at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Bethesda North this holiday season, is a chance to embrace your artistic side while getting into the holiday spirit.

On December 5th, from 11 to 1pm, the hotel will host a Wreath Making Workshop led by Misa Floral’s Michelle Samson.   Tickets (available here via Eventbrite) for the event are $100 and include all floral and foliage materials, wreath base, ribbon, instruction and tools to use during the workshop, plus lite brunch bites, coffee, tea and a mimosa bar to enjoy while you work!
