Chef/Owner Lance London of The Carolina Kitchen is pleased to host a lively holiday extravaganza, with three celebrity guests who will be entertaining and spinning tunes for his annual evening soiree toy drive. This is London’s sixth-annual holiday event in the nation’s capital to be held December 19with toys and donations benefiting Children’s National Medical Center http://www.childrensnational.org/ ; The Ronald McDonald House Charities http://www.greaterdc.org/, and The Trayvon Martin Foundation http://trayvonmartinfoundation.org/.  Cocktail attire and dress jackets are required and to attend, each invited guest is asked to bring one new, unwrapped toy. The special evening is taking place at the Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square Washington beginning at 7 PM, with red carpet arrivals. Guests will dance the night away until 2 AM with a bountiful Southern feast provided by the Carolina Kitchen along with a cash bar. Valet parking is available for $10 per car.

There are two ticket levels for those interested in participating. A $50 ticket donation covers admission, the Carolina Kitchen feast and an autographed Zane book. A VIP ticket is available for $200 that covers, admission, the feast, a celebrity meet and greet, the autographed Zane book and a VIP gift bag. Tickets are limited and available throughSpecial guests for the evening include, Biz Markie, American rapper, beatboxer, DJ, comedian, singer and reality television personality, and DJ Quik, American rapper, actor, and record producer.

WHY:         This is one of many events London hosts annually to lend support for the community that has been so supportive of his Carolina Kitchen. With the help of guests, he plans to exceed his 2012 goal of 5,000 donations, putting a gift in children’s hand during the holiday season.
