Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. What: A taco extravaganza hosted by Art and Soul Executive Chef Douglas Alexander, who’ll be manning the grill. The $20 ticket gets guests three tacos (a toppings station lets guests pile them on!) and one Modelo Especial, a Vienna Lager style beer brewed in Mexico City.
Chef Douglas’ taco menu includes:
  • Cochinita Pibil
  • Al Pastor
  • Grilled Chicken
  • Carne Asada
  • Braised Chicken Mole
Tacos are available a la carte as well as Chips & Guacamole and Chips & Three Salsas (Tomatillo, Chipotle, Chili de Arbol), with lots of margaritas and beer.
Pro-tip: Guests can bring their bathing suits if they want to take a dip between bites.
