Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Montreal-based experimental artist Valentin Stip is the first DJ to release on Nicolas Jaar’s new label, Other People. Valentin is also part of the GEIST agency in Berlin. Fans of Nicolas Jaar and his label are already familiar with the ambient and abstract sounds that Stip will bring to Malmaison on March 15. In his album Sigh, the piano is the center point bringing together various Eastern percussion instruments. His sounds indulge the audience into a meditative and unforgettable musical experience.

“I don’t really have a style or genre-based approach. I try to make something that feels instinctively right. It involves a lot of searching but when I find that feels right, eventually it develops concretely.” said Stip.
