Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. WHAT: Just a few weeks after opening its doors, The Vale is welcoming the community for an artful open house event! Join The Vale team for an evening of art demos with a live screen printing, picnic-inspired spreads, and hand tied flower bouquet arranging to welcome the cooler temps and The Parks’ newest residential offering.

Situated in the historic and protected 66-acre green space of The Parks at Walter Reed, The Vale ivites guests to an open house where they will be able to experience the vibrant community for themselves! Residents of The Vale have access to luxury amenities within the building including a resort-style saltwater pool and cabanas, innovative coworking space, state-of-the-art fitness center, tranquil yoga studio, social clubroom, and more; as well as amenities outside of the building like the curated art park, dog park, popular retailers, and dozens of neighborhood events.
