Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Immigrant Food+: FRI, 4/29 – Dinner hosted by author + Stanford professor, Dan Jurafsky

On April 29th, Immigrant Food+ and the Planet Word Museum are teaming up to host Stanford Professor and Author of “The Language of Food,”’ Dan Jurafsky, for an exclusive dinner. The dinner will take you on a journey that explores the roots of seafood’s connections to global cuisines. You will learn (and taste) the connections between dishes like Peru’s ceviche, Japan’s tempura, and Britain’s fish and chips! In this 24-seat, private experience, Professor Jurafsky’s unique style will entertain and educate diners about the incredible story of food’s global journeys, while Immigrant Food’s chef, Mile Montezuma, presents a specially curated, four-course menu with unique wine pairings.
