BMA x NMWA: Here and Now
Join us for BMA x NMWA, a livestreamed monthly talk show co-presented by The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) and the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA).

For the first episode of 2021, educators from both museums consider artworks grounded in a particular place at a specific moment in time. They welcome UK-based, Nigerian-born artist Mary Evans to discuss her ephemeral, site-specific silhouettes. Evans’s works often reference historical events, including the Atlantic slave trade and enslaved labor, and their impact on contemporary culture. Her work Prospect was included in NMWA’s special exhibition Paper Routes—Women to Watch 2020.
