Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). The Women’s Board of the American Heart Association Greater Washington Region presents the 66th

Annual “An Affair of the Heart” Luncheon and Fashion Show to benefit heart research and education. DC

society will step out to this high-end event hosting around 1000 attendees. Bloomingdale’s will present the

Fashion Show which will feature top designer collections along with exclusive pieces from the Spring 2014

collection. This year, news anchors form television stations, WUSA9, NBC Washington, ABC 7 and Fox

5 DC will model the latest in Spring fashion in support of the American Heart Association. ABC 7’s Allison

Starling will serve as the event emcee.
