Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. The Trust for the National Mall is pleased to invite you to attend a FREE commemorative concert on the 79th Anniversary of the D-Day operation at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial! Join in on June 6 from 6 – 7 PM to enjoy a musical performance by an ensemble from the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” to commemorate this decisive World War II battle which was overseen by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, then the Supreme Allied Commander, Allied Expeditionary Forces.

This event is open and free to the public, and we encourage you to bring guests of all ages! We hope you will join us for this special event commemorating the largest amphibious invasion at the time and to commemorate Eisenhower’s leadership. The Eisenhower Memorial is located at Independence Avenue and 4th St SW, Washington DC.
