5th Street ACE Hardware 7th Ladies’ Night

Shake off those winter weather blues with a party! Back by popular demand, locally owned hardware store 5th Street Ace Hardware is hosting their 7th Ladies’ Night event on Sunday, February 11 from 6-8pm at 1055 5th St. NW.

In partnership with the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID), this year’s do-it-yourself event for women promises to be the best yet. With an expected 20 product vendors and local representatives in attendance, guests will have plenty of opportunities to pick up some new DIY skills and learn about upcoming
community events while enjoying complimentary wine, locally made appetizers, and free product samples.

During the event, customers can shop 20% off the entire store* and the first 100 guests of
the evening will receive a free swag bag loaded with some of the store’s favorite products.
The lineup of raffle prizes is valued at over $400, including gift cards to neighborhood
businesses and restaurants, fun products, Valspar paint, and a grand prize $100 shopping
spree to 5th Street Ace Hardware.

Hillman, Valspar, Bissell, Budget Blinds of Silver Spring, Community Forklift, Beverly Jones,
The Card Bureau DC, Grey Moggie Press, Fluidmaster, VIDA Fitness, Dremel, Natural
Alternative, and Slobproof. Demos include basic toilet repair, installing wall anchors,
patching drywall, using a power tool, DIY terrariums, upcycled coaster craft, using
engraving tools, and proper painting techniques.

Wine tasting with Linganore Winecellars; cheese plate provided by Cabot Creamery
Cooperative; smoked samples prepared on the Big Green Egg; KIND Bars courtesy of KIND
Snacks; locally made candy from Capital Candy Jar; hummus platter by Busboys and Poets;
and a menu tasting with Texas de Brazil: flame-grilled flank steak & horseradish mashed
potatoes topped with chimichurri and microgreens.
