Escorts Steal Show, Appreciate the Money at Washington Business Hall of Fame

The Washington Business Hall of Fame hit record attendance this year, as some 1,400 helped and raise more than $1.3 million for Junior Achievement of Greater Washington — particularly its financial literacy programs for K-12 students — Tuesday night at the Washington Hilton.

The large gathering was in part to recognize five Laureats, honored for their business accomplishments and community involvement.  But to be honest, everyone was more enamored with their escorts.

Youth from Ferebee Hope Elementary in DC introduced the five Honorees to the crowded audience, like Jamar Curley, who walked with Creative Associates International, Inc. President and CEO Charito Kruvant. And Zaquia Jean, who had the pleasure to escort Tom Boggs, Chairman, Patton Boggs LLP.

Also in attendance to watch the students shine were Cokie Roberts (sister to Honoree Tom Boggs), Chip Akridge, Leslie Thornton, Raul and Jean-Marie Fernandez, and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD)
