EmporiumDNA Offers DC the Newest in Sophisticated Shopping

I had quite a lot of buyer’s remorse after walking out with $100+ SWEATPANTS (after putting on a parade of modeling everything I wanted in the store (which was almost everything IN the store)).  After showing the culprits to my man — shocked as I’m typically thrifty — I couldn’t complain.  “Those aren’t just sweatpants,” he said, impressed.  “Those are… awesome.”

Looking for the latest hotspot for your shopping fix, but hitting up DC’s tried and true trendy boutiques is getting a little bit… boring for you?  If you’re looking for the reaction I got (beware, the prices go along with it!) in-demand contemporary fashions from the most coveted domestic and international brands are now together under one roof at a store with some uniquely DC DNA — EmporiumDNA.

Curated specifically from best-selling brands that owner Yasmine Karabassis and her crew have identified to have a bent that’s fashion forward — yet decidedly DC — EmporiumDNA is made up of multiple brand shop-in-shops like Rebecca Minkoff, Mink Pink, Religion, Yumi Kim, Stefanel, IMG_9282Kisei and Ekle.

Not familiar with all of those?  Some of these most buzzed about brands are new to US consumers… and DC presents a perfect platform for their introduction.

“This new concept took many years to develop as it is our intention to offer consumers the very best in each category” said Iraklis Krabassis, President of IK Retail, who first introduced the “United Colors of Benetton” brand to the United States some 30 years ago and has since expanded to such a diverse portfolio as MaxMara, Piazza Sempione, and G-Star IMG_9285Raw. “Bringing these brands to Washington, DC, where we started our retail business is the ultimate endeavor.”

Made up of women’s collections, jewelry, accessories and shoes — with a menswear counterpart to be launched in 2015 — EmporiumDNA first started sales in late March and held its official grand opening last week.

Now when you’re wondering where to go to find something a little different to wear, it’s literally no sweat!
