Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Vogue and Elie Tahari teamed up to present the designer’s newest boutique at Tyson’s Galleria Wednesday night. Tahari, who insisted that he does not see Washington as conservative, but rather “hot and smart,” personally greeted guests and shoppers, including Amy Baier, Sharon Bradley, Jill Hudson Neal and DC Real Housewives Lynda Erkiletian and Mary Amons.
