Previously the Monticello, Georgetown’s new Graham Hotel is now open for business… and pleasure. On the hotel side, the building has found new style — and a ton of new space, apparently — with additional upgraded rooms and suites, an around-the-clock fitness room, upscale restaurant/bar (AGB – Get it? Alexander Graham Bell), and a swanky Miami-style rooftop lounge (the Observatory).
Planning to hold court over clandestine encounters in the basement bar (left)? You’ll want the namesake: The Graham (Angel’s Envy — a batch of this bourbon has been specially blended for the hotel — Campari, and Candied Orange).
Choosing instead to lord over the social butterflies on high (right)? Refresh with the alcoholic version of something that sounds like it should have been one of Graham’s inventions (credit actually belongs to Granville T.Woods): The Telegram (10 cane rum, malibu rum, mint, pineapple, strawberry, and lime).
Start there. Then invent your own reasons to call on the newest of Georgetown’s gems.
