Do Good and Look Good: Annual Lou Lou Day Fundraiser Accessorizes on August 2nd

It was a night of accessorizing to advocate Wednesday as Lou Lou held a preview party to promote its upcoming Lou Lou Day Fundraiser, partnering this year with Dress for Success.

Last month, Lou Lou held a $1 Earring Back Drive.  Patrons donated $1 to Dress For Success to receive a pouch of earring backs (useful as they are so often lost!), and raised over $4,000 toward its annual philanthropic mission.  Now, starting July 21 through the main event, Lou Lou Day, August 2, boutiques are hosting their The Little Things Accessory Drive, asking for donations of gently used accessories.  Items can be brought in from clients’ closets or purchased onsite.

As Dress for Success (which has been serving the Greater Washington Area for over 12 years and has helped over 15,000 women) explained at the preview event, “little things” — like a nice pair of earrings or a necklace — can empower a woman and allow her confidence to shine through fashion.  The Lou Lou Day main event on August 2nd provides perks for helping out with these “little things” and works toward a goal of raising $25,000 for Dress For Success!
