On Wednesday night the Verizon Center hosted a slightly younger demographic as Feld Entertainment premiered Disney on Ice in commemoration of its 150th Anniversary.
VIP audience members enjoyed extra Disney magic at a pre-show dining experience in the Acela Club which featured his most famous mouse couple posing for photographs with a few adoring fans. Families also enjoyed Mickey and Minnie shaped snacks as they were treated to classic renditions of Disney princess stories like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Jasmine (and Aladdin), and Pocahontas.
Later, on the ice, these characters were joined by the beloved Finding Nemo and Toy Story casts too; It was the perfect blend of animated features, amusement park renditions, and all songs that generations of children grew up with.
Wednesday’s opening night was only the first of 11 Disney on Ice shows across the long weekend.
