Diplomatic Courier & YPFP Announce Top “99 Under 33”

The Diplomatic Courier and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy today (Thursday) released their 2012 “99 Under 33,” an international list recognizing influential foreign policy leaders under the age of 33.  Not surprisingly, a good number are local familiar faces.
By design, the “99 Under 33” list is broad and diverse, encompassing entrepreneurs, technologists, journalists, bankers, activists, and scientists – as well as diplomats.
“Foreign policy today is the purview of entrepreneurs and innovators, of technologists, futurists, and scientists, as well as those who are making government work in new and better ways,” said Gary Barnabo, President, Young Professionals in Foreign Policy.  “The 2012 ’99 under 33′ list shows that solutions to the world’s toughest problems increasingly come from unexpected places.”

The 2012 list is the 2nd of its kind put forward by the Diplomatic Courier and YPFP. A third “class of 99” will largely be chosen with the help of those included this year.
