Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Dine in This New Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch in Shaw

Pumpkins pop up everywhere in the Fall, including this Shaw restaurant’s 50-seat outdoor patio.

HalfSmoke (651 Florida Avenue, NW, 20001) has fully transformed its patio into an urban pumpkin patch through November 30th.

Guests can enjoy seasonal beers and cocktails, as well as HalfSmoke’s renowned house-made sausages among some 300 pumpkins, 40 gourds, 125 corn stalks, and countless straw bales.

Check out new libations such as Pumpkin Ale by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery; Octoberfest by Sam Adams; Fresh Fig Margarita; Spiced Pear Bellini, Apple Cider Hot Toddy, Tangerine Jalapeno Mojito; Blackberry Sage Mule, Pumpkin Spice Martini; Rosemary Lemon Fizz and Smoked Peach Old Fashion.
