Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. DC Has Four New MICHELIN Starred Establishments

DC now has four new MICHELIN starred restaurants!

With the release of the MICHELIN Guide Washington, D.C. 2020 today, DC now boasts a total of 18 starred establishments, 44 Bib Gourmand eateries, and 120 establishments recognized with the Plate symbol (a designation given to restaurants that inspectors recommend to travelers and locals for a good meal with fresh ingredients and capable preparation).

The new one star locations include Gravitas, by chef Matt Baker in Ivy City; Little Pearl, by chef/owner Aaron Silverman in Eastern Market; Maydān (formerly a Bib Gourmand) by co-owner Rose Previte and co-chef Chris Morgan on Florida Ave; and Sushi Nakazawa from chef Daisuke Nakazawa in Federal Triangle.
