H Street continues to open new quality restaurants and bars, adding to the eclectic mix and culture in the up-and-coming area. Its newest addition has been a dream of two Montgomery County brothers for a long time — now eager to bring harvest to the table, sourcing ingredients from local farms.
DC Harvest opened early in September, and the Old Bay fried chicken has already surpassed all other dishes as a fan favorite, becoming the Monday and Tuesday special each week. While the savory impresses guests, most dishes are quite healthy, and the butternut squash chips are worthy of seconds.
Brunch? Well, yes! DC Harvest does brunch, complete with breakfast scrambles and bottomless mimosas for $15. We have inside word that the Bloody Mary’s are a must try.
The name says it all… food and alcohol that’s locally sourced, veggie inspired, and seasonally focused.
