Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Dancing After Dark

Children’s National Medical Center’s young professionals group, the Junior Council, hosted the 5th annualDancing After Dark Saturday night at the House of Sweden.

Bobby Blair, Amy Witherspoon, Jennie Collea, Owen Billman and Sarah Walsh were among those who enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dessert and dancing.

The event, attended by over 500, raised more than $90,000 for the young patients at Children’s National Medical Center, helping the hospital to provide uncompensated care, funding state-of-the-art medical equipment and groundbreaking research, and offering family support.
