Proof that DC likes to move it — and step to it, too! Ten local companies of all types and styles came together for one night of performance art Thursday at the Lansburgh Theatre, for a “Dance, Yes We Can” showcase.
*Includes The Washington Ballet, CityDance Ensemble, Urban Artistry, Karen Reedy Dance, Janaki Rangarajan, Gesel Mason Performance Projects, Coyaba Dance Theatre, Bowen McCauley Dance, Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh and Step Afrika!, with a dance film by Cross Roads Dance featured in the lobby.
Step Afrika, an audience favorite, will continue to perform at the theatre throughout the week.
