Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company performed two sold-out performances at The John F. Kennedy Center earlier this month. The program, “Four By Burgess,” included “Homage,” commissioned by the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery; “Revenant Elegy,” commissioned by the National Gallery of Art; and two repertory works, “Leaving Pusan” and “Khaybet.”
A champagne reception was held after the Friday night performance which attracted such attendees as The Ambassador of Gabon His Excellency Michael Moussa-Adamo (above w/ Lester Hyman, Dana Tai Soon Burgess and Brigitte Moussa-Adamo), The Ambassador of Surinam His Excellency Subhas Ch. Mungra, and NASA’s Orion Spacecraft Communications Manager Barbara Zelon.
