Cocktails and.. Controversy?

In advance of this Saturday’s ARTINI, an annual event at the Corcoran featuring the creations of 12 mixology masters inspired by current works of art on display at the museum, we previewed The Gibson’s Forbidden Kiss Tuesday evening.
Tiffany Short‘s combination of Gin, sparkling wine, egg whites and apple shrub (we have no idea what that is either!) come together in a taste that is at first as rude as The Gibson’s doorman, but settles into a tart sweetness.

It doesn’t seem as shy as Rodin’s “Eve,” (image, at right, courtesy of The Liverpool Museums) the piece from which it was inspired, but artistic taste is individual.
